The Hong Kong Institute of Water and Sanitation Safety (HKIWSS) was established in 2020 as a charitable organization with the mission to:
• Arouse public awareness of safety in water supply and sanitation systems;
• Support Government’s policy and initiative in enforcing safety in water supply and sanitation systems;
• Update members and the general public on knowledge in the field of water and sanitation safety through conferences, seminars and courses.

The Inaugural Reception is to celebrate the establishment of HKIWSS and share the views and vision  on water and sanitation safety in Hong Kong
